Julie Chen, who has been a cohost of The Talk since the show premiered in 2010, announced Tuesday she is leaving the show. The decision came after her husband, Les Moonves, stepped down from his position running the network. She made the tearful announcement in a pre-taped segment from the set of Big Brother.

Chen's cohosts on The Talk are Sharon Osbourne, Eve, Sheryl Underwood, and Sara Gilbert. At this point, it's unclear if Chen will be replaced on the show, though she pointed to guest host Carrie Ann Inaba as a possible replacement. Chen will continue her job as host of Big Brother, also on CBS, according to a report from CNN.

Read her full statement below:

"I have been at the The Talk since the day it started nine years ago and the cast, crew and staff have become family over the years. Right now I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son. So I have decided to leave The Talk. I want to thank everyone at the show for their wonderful years together. I will always cherish the memories away shared. Most important, I want to thank you the viewers for allowing me into your home every day. It was a privilege that I will forever be grateful for.

To everyone behind the scenes, I send you my love and I will miss you all very, very much. To Eve, you are the newest one at the table but I feel like I have known you forever. You are even more beautiful inside than on the outside, if that is possible, because you know I think you are flawless.

Sheryl, thank you for being the perfect go-to partner for the last seven years. I open, you close, and you always bring down the house. We call ourselves the bookends, and we always laughed when we said it. Your wit and timing and humor and compassion and intelligence is simply unparalleled. You are incredible.

Carrie Ann, I don't know, but in my opinion you look awful good sitting in that chair, my Asian sister. Just saying.

To Sara and Sharon, we have been together since day one at The Talk. I spent every day with you both. I will always treasure our friendship, great parenting advice from both, and memories and laughs and private jokes that the three of us have shared. We are the original three musketeers.

I love you all and I know this show and sisterhood it stands for will live on for many more years. You ladies got this and I cannot be more proud to call you my friends. I love you."

On September 9, CBS announced Chen's husband, Les Moonves, was stepping down as chairman and CEO of CBS. The network had been conducting an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against him, as reported in two separate reports from Ronan Farrow in The New Yorker.

In a statement, Moonves said, "I recognize that there were times decades ago when I may have made some women uncomfortable by making advances. Those were mistakes, and I regret them immensely. But I always understood and respected—and abided by the principle—that 'no' means 'no,' and I have never misused my position to harm or hinder anyone's career."

Chen stood by her husband in a statement released after the first article's publishing. "I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late '90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 years," her statement read. "Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband, and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent, and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement."
